Wrinkles on Seat Trim
Hi All,
I've had my 8 since mid October '03, since then it's been pretty good. One of my complaints was the pair of holes left on my dash from the Dealer installed alarm system... complained and the dealer had someone patch/blend that up pretty nicely.
My problem now is that on my passenger side seat, the black rubber trim (to the side of the red leather), has severe creasing and wrinkling... as if it were baked for a few years in the sun. I showed the dealer, and they said they would contact some corporate guy so he could look at it. It's been about 2 months since they said that... does anybody have any suggestions or comments?
Also, how many owners had the front license plate mount preinstalled by their dealer? I thought nothing of this at first, but when I saw all these forum pictures of 8's without the front plate... I think I want to switch. Only problem is, I think if that mount is removed it will leave holes in the plastic grill.
p.s. Anybody know how to open the door panel to access where the window is? some minor little thing from a tree got pulled in when rolling downt he window and it haunts me. I know it's nothing really... but Imma get that sucker out if I can!
Thanks for any replies.

I'm sorry... I didn't mention that I took delivery with them in this condition. I thought perhaps the dealer had put something heavy on the seat for a short while and the wrinkles would undo themselves with a little time. I know for a fact that nothing I have put in that seat (including passengers) have an *** big enough to do this kind of wrinkling... I'll post a pic asap!
Thanks Blue.

I pulled the dealer installed plate on my car. I told the simps not to put the plate bracket during PDI, and what to they do... dumba$$es. Anyways, it doesn't look bad at all. Unless you know what you're looking at, you can't see the two holes those schnooks drilled - even then it's because of the brass nuts on the back side, which I suppose I could paint black to finish hiding them.
I'd go ahead and pull it off - if it looks ugly, put it back on.
