Would you RX8 owners...

trade your car in for an Evo X? Or, would you get one as a second car?

that's a tough one.

Let me think... would I trade for it... nope, so I guess I would get it as a second car.

Seen one at the Mitsu/ Mazda dealership, thought about test driving it, maybe next time.

No, it's hideous. In a large mouth bass sort of way. Sadly it's an improvement though.

Definitely improved, has a RSX rear end though probably the worst part of the exterior.

You didn't see one at a dealer, they won't be on lots for another year or two. This is also about the tenth thread for the Evo X.

How do you get RSX from that, it's not even a hatch...

And you of all people are complaining?

If I was in the market for a sedan, I'd consider it. Especially if i was looking for a sedan that resembles a pissed-off freight locomotive.

much respect to the evo, but, i wouldnt TRADE for it. its just not for me. i like to be different, stand out, unique. and have perfect weight distribution, a high revving engine and a lightweight (somewhat) feel to a car.

second car? no, the lotus exige will be my weekend track toy

The lines are similar. Mainly saying that the weak point of the styling is the tail of the car.

If I wasn't trained in the art of tuner recognition I might mistake it for an RSX from the back if it was debadged and couldn't see the four doors...

FYI, driving a mass produced car affords you none of the above.

Fans of a mid-rear setup might say that's perfect

My point is there's more than one way to skin a cat, 50/50 isn't some magic number that makes a car handle better. There are also more cars that are 50/50 or close to it than most RX-8 owners realize.

I definitely think its an improvement from the previous gen Evos, appearance-wise. The wing is not as obnoxious and it doesn't look as cheap, IMO. It kind of reminds of the TL, especially from the side. The only thing I don't like are the lights though, what is up with those, especially the tail lights? I'm too lazy to search but what are the official performance numbers for this?
