Would you be interested in?

Just trying to get a "feeler" if the RX-8 community would be interested in custom fabricated aluminum and urethan bushings for all suspension, motor mounts, sub-frames, etc...? We are machining a few for our Grand-am Cup racecars but may consider selling some if there is enough interest. I may be contacted either by PM or by email at NickG@NRGmotorsportsINC.com. Thanks and keep it safe!

I would guess many of us may be interested in such parts at some point. For me at the moment, I have such a list of parts ahead of what you're talking about that it wouldn't be worth looking into at this point.

Maybe if you listed if some of the AL parts are lighter weight, etc...or give some more detail to your posts about the parts you're thinking of...

There are several companies that manufacture aftermarket urethane bushings for the RX-7 models. However, there are really no companies that we can find that make such items for the RX-8. Basically, we, as a race team, need both aluminum and delron/urethane bushings for our suspension, subframe, and motormounts. We have to have these machined and would like to do a production run since bulk is less expensive in the long run. I know there are many people who track their RX-8's and the rubber bushings that are OEM simply do not cut it eventually. We are still inquiring about these items but if I find enough interest, I will do a production run and offer these things for sale.

Also, on a side note...Thank you everyone for the support Roar Racing received at this season's opening round for the 2006 Grand-am Cup Series at Daytona. It was a pleasure meeting several of you from this forum. Roar Racing would like to announce that we have moved from our former South Florida location to Greenville, NC. Due to the move, we have separated the dual effort between Roar Racing and HBAR Engineering and are now two separate teams. Roar Racing Inc. will continue to campaigne 3 Mazda RX-8's in this seasons Cup Series. We wish all Mazda competitors a successful year. For more information on Roar Racing Inc. and our motorsports services, please contact Nick Gurucharri at NickG@NRGmotorsportsINC.com or 786.302.2322.

Roar...welcome, I bet you have a market for this stuff...maybe limited at first but regardless thanks for the offer.

If you guys know of any parts where you were very successful in reducing weight (while we in the street could use it without safety issues)...that would be a great product also.

I hope the best on the track!

Slightly off topic, but I would be FAR more interested in what you're hinting at in this quote from your website:

Our engine bay - the motor is stock, per the rules, but it has some fancy electronics that I can't talk about that will give us "a bit more power than stock". How much more? I can't say - some things are secret! Just remember, Doc is an electronics wizard...
Pretty please?

Well, we spend alot of time doing R & D with the racecars. The quote from that website and the blog that many of you are refering to are former customers of Roar Racing. We run a 3 car effort and the three cars are owned by Roar Racing. At Daytona we campaigned a fourth car for Danny and Mark to help them get the ball rolling for their own motorsports program. We provided them with transportation and some crew and equipment for the race as they are a new team and didn't have access to as many resources in such a short period of time as we did. Now they are well founded and on their way, separate of us. We wish both Danny and Mark a successful season. The blog pertains mainly to them.

About our motorsport electronics, we have tested with several units ranging from stock to MoTeC M800's. We are pleased with our current set-up and have made changes since Daytona to accomodate the new systems. Grand-am is very strict with their rules and it is a tough series. Unfortunately, due to the close competition, we are really not at liberty to discuss our engine set-up and HP numbers right now. We will, in the near future, be able to discuss these items at greater length. For now, secrets will have to kept but we are more than happy to discuss things with anyone and give any advice needed.

Here are a few more pictures...

Well, to get back on topic. I am very curious as to the price of the bushings if they were to be produced.

We will keep everyone posted when we do our production run of both aircraft aluminum motormounts and delron/urethane suspension and subframe bushings. It may be a few weeks...so just hold tight. Here's a picture of our slightly wrecked car from Daytona and some paddock girls...(the real reason why we race)

SpeedSource is sellng engine/diff housing bushings, nobody that I know of with suspension bushings other than the shock mount pillowtop conversion for custom coilover applications that SpeedSource also offers and the JIC replacement rear racing control arms.

Well YES !!!!

Energy Suspension or Prothane dont have anything as I'm sure is common knowledge..Right well I'm definatly interested in what your doing as long as cost is not outragous and Instructions are included...

I think that this upgrade should be the first mod in any car if your looking for improved feel and performance...I do believe that there is more usable power when everything is firm ie TRANS/ENGINE/CONTROL ARMS etc etc..

Please make this happen . Much Respect ltrx8 (Lionel)

Beat Energy /Prothane to it and sell it at a reasonable price and we'll all be sportin ROAR RACING DECALS...
