Worst Dealer Ever!

Dealer: REYNOLDS MAZDA in Norman Oklahoma

First time: I think my heater is broken so I go in to get it checked out and have an oil change. When I came back the manager told me that something is broken and need replacement. So I went to talk to the mechanic about it, he told me there is something that is having a bad connect and all I need is to turn it a little harder. So basically there was nothing wrong with it. I was charged for 3 hours of labor and the manager still tries to persuade me to buy the parts for 300$ I was like I will think about it, and drove off, and it works!

Second time: Dealer tries to charge me 1200 for tires because "I can only replace this tires with this specific tires at dealer because other wise the sensor wont work!" Same tires goes for 600 at other places

Third time: So i need the wheel key for the tires. And I cant find it. I go to the deal see if they can take it off for me. they can for 50$ or I can buy the key for 30$ after they match it for me for 50$ WOW....2 other options avaiable to me are:

1. Have the other place break lock for free
2. Take a picture of the lock and order it only for 12$....

yeah the stealerships are ghey...just break off the lock, it should only take you a couple of minutes to get all 4 out...

1. thats why i do my OWN oil changes
2. thats why i choose my own tires
3. that happend to me too, i told them to **** off, went home and got em out in a couple of minutes

Yes. The heater dial has been known to get broken solder joints and stop working. Pushing on it MAY make the connection for a while, but for how long? If you had searched the forums first, you'd see we even have a DIY on how to fix this.

Dealer did nothing wrong. You asked them to look for a problem, they found it.

Second time: Dealer tries to charge me 1200 for tires because "I can only replace this tires with this specific tires at dealer because other wise the sensor wont work!" Same tires goes for 600 at other places
BS. Certain RIMS wont accept TPMS, but tires don't care. I can see it being dealership policy to only replace tires with OEM replacements (which are outlandishly expensive and they suck to boot) The tech wasn't entirely dishonest, but you should know better then to buy wear items from dealers. It's always more expensive and they'll want to use OEM spec gear.

Third time: So i need the wheel key for the tires. And I cant find it. I go to the deal see if they can take it off for me. they can for 50$ or I can buy the key for 30$ after they match it for me for 50$ WOW....2 other options avaiable to me are:

So you lost your key, then balked when they had the audacity to charge you money for a new one? Seems silly to me. The OEM wheel locks are crap anyways, Break them off and pick up some aftermarket locks that aren't crap.

You want to talk about bad dealerships. Why don't you go ask rotaryrasp and ask him what his dealership did to his car after replacing the engine under warranty. His story wins for worst dealer experience ever. They nearly killed him.

Your dealership sounds pretty normal. Not great, but not actively out to screw you over.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

Seriously though, go look at Rotaryrasps thread about what Mazda dealership has done to them and I swear you will regret making this thread at all. His car was pretty damn nice too and it was destroyed by the stupid tech not connecting the fuel line.

That dealership is basically an EPIC FAIL.

Yeah, that is illegal and you could "sue" them for that. But too many people sue for so many small thing's it's rediculous.

More of these antics show up when times are tough, unfortunately, but there's no excuse for this kind of bullshit no matter how bad things are. Attempted robbery is attempted robbery during boom times or bust.

Have you gone to the other Mazda in OKC? If so, I was just wondering if they are any better.

Alas the reason why Mazda has lousy customer service ratings. Lousy dealerships.
