Hopefully the technicians will find out the problem is that I have an AT and will swap me out for a new 07 GT MT.

Is it over heating at all? If it is, you're in for a new engine. Though it sounds like you need one now.
They should run a pressure test and a compression test on it just to see what it's doing internally. If this dealer can't figure it out then I would try another dealer.
If they do put a new engine in it will be three to four weeks for it to arrive at the dealership.

There's no real way to tell if it's overheating or not since the temp gauge is a faux.

As for me needing a new engine, I spoke to someone today and they said they'll know by tomorrow if they're going to need a new engine or not...So I dunno.

3-4 weeks? Are you serious?? That's ridiculous...

The temp gauge reads temperature of the engine. It is just not as variable as an analog/digital temp gauge.
This is what I'm talking about. I have seen mine 2 marks below HIGH/HOT, before they told me that I was getting a new engine. Full is like 250/260 degrees.

Have u threatened them with "The lemon law"
I think that if the car has not been fixed after the third try u can invoke that law.
Dealerships don't want to have to take back a car do to this cus it is then tough to sell so they have been know to buy it back from you.
Had a friend that did that a few years back on a truck, the dealership bought his truck back from him at what he paid and he bought another.
would mention it or do a little on-line research.

Interesting, from what I've heard on the forums both the oil and temp gauge are fakes...

Oh well, wouldn't be the first time someones been wrong about something

Stay tuned, I can't wait to hear what they tell me tomorrow

Cool Real.....

Nobody said the temp gauge is decorative.

I've seen mine on 'that' side of hot, and it works, it's real, it IS hot!

sooo Shini... guess what!? I was driving back to work today off of my lunch break and some ******* in an old state trooper car failed to yeild and I t-boned him doing at least 40. Totalled his car AND mine. And want to know something just FABULOUS? Not one airbag deployed, being the main reason there is extential muscle damage done to the left side of my body, plus a mild concussion. This problem is WELL past my dealer. I'm taking to Mazda Corp. + Better Business Bureau. Any faster and I would have been screwed. All of his air bags went off and he had a 10 year old Chevy Lumina.

Good thing is that it was all his fault and all the cops told me so as well so I don't have to pay cent.

Engine needs compression check when warm

Your dealer needs to check compression in your engine while it is at operating temperature.I work at a mazda dealer and had a few rx-8s die while driving and idling. While engine was cold compression was at spec. After the engines warmed up that is when compression is lost.Sounds like your car needs an engine.

Thanks, well they've already turfed it back to me, but I will definitely have them look into that if I have the same problem again (I did last time I took it in and I don't think this time will be any different...oh well). Thanks for the info!
