Talking Without RX-8 Club....

With the site going down a few times recently, it got me wondering as to what it would be like had I never discovered this forum:

1) My car would look quite different:
-No MS wing, No steel strakes from Howard, no RB intake or Exhaust, etc

2) I would have never known about SevenStock. SS8 was a BLAST...can't wait till SS(

3) My days at work would be much longer

Those are just a few... how about you guys?

I would defiintily not made as many good friends and not know nearly as much about my car and then there are the mods of course....i see the rotary club being so much more special then any other car club becasue they are so rare. Thanks to all.

Without the RX-8 club, I would probably buy one without knowing any of the common problems and fixes for them. And I would probably spend even more time at the RX-7 club and TFL.

kinda like I did when I bought the miata, I had no Idea about the short nose crank problem (or the fix), Luckuly mine is after they switched over to the long nose.

I dont want to find out about stuff, AFTER I buy one.

It should be required dailey reading for all Mazda salesmen, service department managers, techs, etc. As far as I'm concerned this is THE ONLY knowledge database for this car.

1. I'd have been really pissed if I found out AFTER I bought it that I'd get 15mpg.

2. I would have paid way too much for JDM strakes. (thanks again Jedi - you getting a cut of his sales yet?)

3. 'Flash' would still be a reference to Roscoe P. Coltrane's dog.

On the other hand, I'd probably be more productive at work!

I definately wouldn't know as much as I do about the car. I probably still would've bought one, but probably messed a few things up in the process. It's been great to read all the helpful information and all the not so relevant information on the forum. Everyone here brings something different to the table and it makes the club great. Thanks all!

Without RX-8 Club....

1. I found this site after totaling my first RX-8. It was an extremely important part of my healing process. Without it I would be a basket case.

2. I would never have met what I consider to be the best group of friends I've ever had in 54 years.

3. I would not have been part of the GA RX8-Club gang.

4. I would probably have flooded my car many times.

5. I would have scratches all over my car from washing at the drive through.

6. I would never have known about driving schools and would never have driven on road courses.

7. I would not have modded my baby with RB Exhaust, Act ProLite Flywheel, RB Intake, RB sway bars, Front Strut, RB screens, stainless brake lines, High temp brake fluid, clear corners, SilverEIGHT stickers and all kinds of other wonderful toys.

8. I would have missed this thread: Most Beautiful Girl... . . . Thanks BlueEyes!

without this forum i wouldnt of known:

that my cars engine will need replacing in 50000> miles and is very unreliable overall
that my car is very slow
all rotaries suck
my car needs a case of oil per 1000 miles
Its a POS compared to most any car on the road

and to this day i still wouldnt of known the above without the forum to tell me
