Winning blue drivers please give me feedback.
I have never had a blue car in my life. How hard is it to keep the blue clean. Does it get dirty quickly and how noticeable is it when it is dirty? Thanks guys.

i love the blue color. i get complements on how clean it is all the time. even when it has been weeks after i have washed it. its a good color to get if you dont want to be cleaning the car every week.

I have the cloth interior and I prefer it over the leather, just because I don't like seats that are scorching hot in the summer. The cloth seats seem to be holding up well in my car - 12500 miles so far.

The RX8 is such a sharp car that I think it looks great in any color, but my favorites on it are blue, silver, and gray.
I went with silver since my blue WRX showed every little scratch. A lighter color is also easier to keep clean and stays cooler in the Summer (some have reported weak A/C systems on the RX8).

I haven't had any trouble keeping my blue looking pretty clean - I had to look closely the other day before I realized it needed dusting. I agree with Loco4RX8 - definitely easier to keep clean-looking than black, but then just about everything is. So far (four months) I haven't noticed that it's more prone to showing scratches and swirls.

I find that my blue tends to show dirt pretty easily and doesn't too hot when dirty. The earlier poster probably put it best though... when it comes to showing dirt, it's better than black, not as good as silver or grey.

Alaska is hell on cars...and I would say that the blue is moderately difficult to maintain an "always clean" appearance.
It hides the light dust for a little while, but the second you dust off a small section around the door handle - the dust becomes painfully obvious.
All of that said, I would not want the silver car over the blue...I actually have owned both (one for only 3-4 days) and the blue is worth the extra effort (imo).

I have the blue with leather seats.
Light dust doesn't show up very much but when the roads are wet the dark splashes behind the rear wheels are very obvious.
I've been using Zaino from day one which makes dusting and cleaning a breeze without leaving swirls.
I haven't found the seats to be too hot when the temp gets hot. During the winter the heated leather seat is really great.
Traditionally, Silver and Red paint does not hold up to sunlight as well as other colors unless they are cared for properly and kept out of the sunlight as much as possible. I don't know if Mazda's paint is any different. I guess time will tell.

I have a sunlight silver miata and a winning blue RX8. The silver is definitely easier to keep clean but the blue really looks great when it is waxed. Detailing is half the fun.

i have blue with black leather interior. I agree with other posts, it does show some dirt, but not as bad as others. The black leather can be challenging, but the armor all wipes do a nice job. Lets face it, this color combo kicks ***, as the many compliments I get prove!

my winning blue stays clean alot beter than my burgundy truck, it does show dirt alittle bit but not that bad .keep a fresh coat of wax on it and if the dirt shows rinse it off and it looks great. keep in mind i detail my car every weekend so i have to have a clean car to be happy .blue was a good choice for me .since i'm so **** about the looks of my car i would never own a black one, don't get me wrong my friend has a black vet and when it's clean man it shines deep but when it's not it looks like ****. i'm sure some of you guys who have black 8's will give me a piece of you mind but that's my opinion sorry

It shows the dirt, but that just gives me an excuse every Saturday morning to spend time with it
I think the blue is the sharpest color on the 8. But then again, I bought a blue one

I feel compelled to respond
I almost got a Titanium RX-8, but becasue I had just sold a silver BMW I didn't want the same color again. So I went w/ Winning Blue and have NO REGRETS! The color is definitely an attention getter. Dust it every night and it will stay nice n clean (though not as easy as silver).

It depends on how religious you plan on being to keep your RX-8 clean.
Black to me is the best color, however I was not willing to wash it every other day to keep it looking good. My Winning Blue gets washed every weekend, and usually needs it by then.
It's a great color choice -- enjoy.
