Wierd - rx-9 rpm only goes between 2 and 3 thousand rpm

Its memorial day evening -- went out to start the 8 and it engine only runs between 2 and 3 thousand rpm -- I push the gas pedal and it runs at a slightly higher rpm but thats it -- check engine light came on and the anti-slip light came on ------ I suppose 2morrow I could drive to dealer that way ---- any ideas from anyone is appreciated ----- only 8 thousand miles on my 05 six speed

rx-8 I mean ----- no abuse went out to run an errand and started the car and from what I have gathered the 8 is in limp mode --- how do I cure limp mode??

typo combined with stress of a car that is in limp mode that I need to get to work in the morning (now do u understand) ------- went out to start is again and it runs fine now -- the check engine light is still on and the anti-slip light went off ------ very wierd

I would take it to the dealer anyways.... Also, call the dealer and explain your situation before driving there with her. Just to be sure that nothing will happen if you drive it tomorrow based on what you stated that happened before.

You have a faulty abs brake sensor. An intermittent problem. Car thinks you are losing traction and engages dsc. I suggest you take it to the dealer and have the sensors and connections checked. Last thing you want is for the antislip to kick in while on the highway travelling at high speed.
