First off I would just like to say Hi to everyone, I have been trolling for a while, and just got my 8 a couple weeks ago. So far all my questions have been answered by that handy search button, but this one came up blank.

When I start shifting... 1-2 and to 4th if I get higher up in the revs in 2nd. I hear this beep when I go into 4th. Like the car is telling me I missed 3rd. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have an 07 GT btw.

Are you shifting from 2nd to 4th around 60 mph?....

If so, that beep coincides with redlining...beeps at 8500

 

The car beeps at 8500 rpm to let you know your approaching red-line and its time to shift.
I like the beep, some people don't.

thats how you should drive.

 

It isn't the redline beep. I will investigate again tonight.
