I was cleaning the grounds for the Power Steering and had the airbox removed. Thought to myself "this would be a good time to order that new intake I've wanted" as I planned to do several other things to the car and it'd be down for a week or so, so I thought "why not?"


Went inside and sat down to my trusty computer and brought up the Racing Beat website, checked all the appropriate boxes, filled in all my info and stuff and went to check out.


Holy Crap! Well over 70 bucks for shipping. No way. I will not support that. I have stuff shipped to me from Whittier CA, not too far from Anaheim, probably 20 times per year. Big boxes filled with heavy stuff and it never costs even close to half that.


So I backed out of the order. I'll just stick with the stock intake.


Sorry, Racing Beat. Somehow I feel that we both lost a little something today.

 

Yeah some places are crazy with shipping charges. I sold a Racing Beat Intake not too long ago, IIRC it was about $15.00 to ship to the East Coast.
