Who has the oldest 2004 Rx8?
Who has the oldest 2004 Rx8?
My VIN # ends with 039xx, so my car should be one of the 4,000 oldest in the states. (Still only have 24,000 miles on it! and stock as a new baby.)
Anybody got me beat with a lower VIN on a 2004?

the first person to take delivery of an RX-8 in the US (Brad aka 3rotor) sold his a couple of years ago. the 2nd owner still owns the vehicle. he has the oldest RX-8 in the US.
The first Japanese owner to take delivery reportedly still owns his so he has the oldest RX-8 in the world. Mr. Haru Yuno of Ibaraki-shi, Osaka took delivery of a Lightening Yellow on April 22, 2003

Mine is 0603 bought July 03. Just under 170,000 miles. Replaced engine at 128,000 miles, trans earlier this year. Just replaced brakes and struts. She's running pretty good. No heat though, and winters coming. Gotta get that fixed.
wow, some of ya'll been here from the beginning! mine is 8766. I didn't know that meant anything til I read this thread. I have less than 31k on it and have babied since I bought it new. It started out in Atlanta, went to Alaska with me, and now back in Georgia.

Mine was built May 03 as well.
vin 01501
First RX8 delivered in Atlantic Canada. (For whatever bragging rights that's worth.)
Just short of 82,000km (So just over 50,000 miles.)

The last 4 of your VIN does not equate to your production number
Just take a look at the 2005 Shinka production list:
https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...-vin-s-166370/
Even taking into account non-Shinkas produced on the same line, they aren't even sorted in ascending order (note #6 to #7, #12 to #13)
They only generally ascend in numerical value.
