Who has a line on a good leather cleaner and conditioner?

I prefer doing seats myself, and currently using DiamondKote, anyone got a line on a good cleaner and conditioner?

MeguiarsGold Class Rich Leather conditioner works for me... Nice and shiny...

Meguiars NXT is also excellent for shine....

Everything is crap compared to Leatherique, BMW owners have been swearing by it for years. It can literrally turn stained beat up seats into almost like new. You put the cleaner on the leather, cover the seats with a trash bag and let it bake in the sun for a few hours. The cleaner pulls all the dirt/grime/grease to the top and you wipe it off and then condition it, works like a charm.

There are a few threads on www.bimmerforums.com in their detail section with some before and after pics of people that used it. I was pretty impressed and need to get some more for the miata's red leather seats as well as the Elise.

The people who installed the leather seats in our Mazda3 recommended Lexol. It's a 2 part system. 1 bottle of cleaner and another bottle of conditioner. I haven't used it yet but have the bottles at home.

That stuff is so, so. I tried it on the S2000 a while back and it didn't do much except make the seats shiny and slippery. I threw it away.

This should get you pointed in the right direction:

http://www.autopia.org/reviews/censu...direction=desc (a comparison and collection of user reviews)

I've only used Zaino Z9 (cleaner) and Z10 (conditioner) but I'm pretty confident its among the best.

<< Leatherique 2 years detailing and love the stuff.. fairly expensive though. when it came down to it some good old fashioned degreaser and water and a scrub brush.. then finish it off with a water based conditioner. turns out nice and not greasy.

I wouldn't trust product that you can use on both leather and tires, just think about it.

its probably good on tires bc its not greasy and gives a good shine, I don't see how that could be bad?

For leather cleaning i only use the 8:1 woolite/water formula. The "famous" (he's over at autopia) Scottwax uses the same thing and he believes it the most gentile and effective way to clean leathers. The results proves it.

Leather conditioning ive used Sonus, Mink oil, Tanner's Preserves, Leather Master's Leather Vital. Leather Vital is my favorite but it's a little pricey. Those are the "high end" one's, other options are Lexol and Meguiar's new two step Aloe formulas.

Lexol is very good.

I use mink oil.

Let me ask you this question.

How dirty do you think it really gets inside the car?

Lexol and other cleaners should be used on jackets and boots.

The inside of a car doesn't get dirty enough to use a cleaner unless your in Texas or some other dirt enviroment with the windows open.
