Question When will a 2005 model be released?

I'm guessing at the same time as the 2004 model debuted (which is mid-July). If that is the case, and they have the first-year bugs ironed out, then I'll probably buy it or lease it.

What do you guys think?

I would probably wait for the 2005 to come. The first line of any vehicle would always present problems that could be fixed on the next year's model. 350Z's are the same way, so are the SRT-4s, etc etc. I'm keeping my money for now and wait until the RX-8 2005 comes with improvements.

I just dont want to regret getting the 2004 when the fixes are out on the 2005. Just my 2 cents...

True that, but I might be driving a 2005 RX-8 with better gas mileage and power for the same price by next year

Well I'll be waiting for the 2005 8 too... unlike you guys, I have no money to buy one!

Will the RX-8 still be as rare and unseen as it is right now, one year later? I want it to still be the breathtaking new car ya know

The suburban won't be paid off 'till next year. So I'm waiting too. I'm hoping X-plan may be available on the car by next year as well.

I am also waiting for next years model. There are several advantages:

- Many of the bugs from the first model year will be worked out
- The hype dies down, and so does the price
- The guinnea pigs...er, ah, first year owners can tell us more of what to expect from the car in real world driving.

Some people need to have the latest and greatest, but not me. I'd rather let someone else deal with the headaches an then I can reap the benefits.

naaaa. life's too short.. just get it and enjoy it...

nothing better than driving a new year model that is so gorgeous and unique.

i don't mind the glitches... it's expected.. I bought the AUDI TT when it came out also, and boy that was the greatest experience, even if it did have it's share of glitches too.

RX-8 is my new drug so far my experience has been great, with exception to the poor mileage.. But that's not a big enough issue for me to pass-up ownership of such a marvelous vehicle.
