1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (Aftermarket exhaust, American Racing Rims, Aftermarket steering wheel, purple crushed velvet interior, custom guages, modded intake, other unknown engine mods. I bought that car for $2,500 when I was 16 and a 1/2........ and I smashed it up in a local highschool parking lot while showing off smoking the tires, and I took off before the cops came!! :o)

The Rx8 for me, is the fastest thing I have ever ridden in, or driven.
Until now, I was able to every great once in a while get to drive my mother's 2000 toyota MR2 spyder. Which I thought was fast. (and still do, how sad for me)

But I'm afraid I would have owned all of your silly Italian birds with my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. 0-60 in just under 9 seconds, thats right, 9 seconds. With that kinda speed, I was able to completely own semi's. Oh yeah, even those fancy mercedes semi's. They were askin' for it.
And it had similar gas mileage to the 8. What a rip-off the 8 is.

My 2002 M roadster was pretty freaking quick -- that's the fastest car I've owned.

However, here at work, I've driven Ferrari 575, 612, 360, F430, Maserati QP and GranSport.

Most thrilling are F430 an Maserati GranSport. Speed, acceleration, sound -- I think I like the GranSport best of all...

1968 Pontiac GTO 400 CU 4 Spd, 1972 Dodge Charger 440 Magnum 4 Spd. not as fast as the GTO. I would not want them back because the handling of the RX8 is much more usable and enjoyable than the muscle.

Didn't I just tell you to shut up?

Hey - we have the same bday. I hope you do end up with one of those awesome cars then, because I'm all into superstitions.

Hey I'd almost be as happy if you had one as if I had one. Almost. But not quite.

My 6sp. RX-8 and my 1967 Porsche 911's Targa were almost identical in seat of the pants feel. I looked 0-60 for the 911 and an old road test said 6.5sec. Pretty darn close. The RX-8 handles so much better and your not always worrying about the rear end breaking loose at a high speed corner. The 8 is much more forgiving.

Fastest car i owned :94 Twin turbo Z Stage III , hit 159 mph and steady pulling with no intention of letting up,ran out of road.

Fastet car i driven :02 Z-06 (405HP)Approaching 170mph , the v8 motor sounded sick at those speeds. You would be surprised at how fast the Z-06 can get up to that speed!

Fastest car i rode in...ehh truck.....90's S10 with small block 500Hp vette motor. Down right frightning! The truck had sent so much power to the rear wheels sometimes my friend would have to start out in 2nd gear just to gain traction off the line. One time the S10 broke loose at a 100 mph with cynder blocks in the back, plywood planks and misc items to keep the back wheels planted, well those items did a poor job and we were sideways on a 4 lane highway doing a 100mph! Thank GOD there was nobody around because we clearly took up all 4 lanes!

That was scary as hell and that truck was just insanely fast!!!

DailyDriver2k5, was that a stock vette engine? I believe that is the same engine that Marietta8, from Mazcare, is putting in RX-7's! He's building a caged one right now. Can't wait to see that puppy run at Road Atlanta.

Fastest Owned: My RX8

Fastest Drivin: I test drove a '94 RX7 I was looking into buying with 350hp still in sequential boost (when the first turbo hit at 2500 rpm it would through your head back). B4 buying the RX8 I test drove a G35 coupe, and a 350Z. I liked the 8 more and it wasn't insanly priced. I tried to test drive a Mustang GT at two different ford dealers, but the first dealership "would only let serious buyers" (read: I don't think you can afford this car) drive it. When I went to the second dealership no one even spoke to me. I guess ford want's to be bankrupt (maybe that'll free Mazda!). Now that I have my plate, I'm contemplating doing doughnauts in their parking lots.

That was a semi built vette motor in my friends S10. I can't believe were still here to even talk about my firends S10, we should have been dead many times over 10 years ago!LOL

If you meant the Z-06 , yes that is the stock motor! No upgrades.....'02 and 03'Z-06 are sick! The new C6 Z-06 is going to make the 02' and 03' seem slow, even though there not!
