I called 3 shops in the area, they all wanted $20 a wheel, so $80 total, though things are generally pretty expensive in my area.
If you have nice wheels, you'd want to make sure they are careful and use the right equipment and care. |
static is your dealer my dealer? lol? woodhouse of omaha? they are really good even w/ warrenty issues they turn their heads many times when ive been in there w/ my car. *zach* is the guy you want hes never turned my away for my mods.
back on topic. where i used to work its 3.00 to take a tire off a rim and 3.00 to put a tire on a rim. and 8.00 a tire to balance it. so if you have tires on your rims plus balance would be 14.00 a tire. and for balancing any shop should be the same as for quality, the machine spins it tells you where to put the weight, spins it again then tells you if it has a zero balance or not, if it dont you move the wieght or put more wieght on. so ide say 60.00 or less is a good deal |

Every walmart around here will not mount tires below 50 series height.

Well, Costco won't mount tires unless you buy them there.
I went to a tirerack.com recommended installer (called them) and got a price of $18 per tire. Anyone have any concerns about Wal-Mart? They will do everything - dismount, remount of new tires, balance with inside and outside weights (if required), using a Corgy (is that how it's spelled) instead of a Hunter, for $12 per tire, including valve stems and disposal. This is the best price so far. .. |
road force is waist of money
Dont pay more then $15 per tire. |
Tires Warehouse charged the same tirerack would of ... didn't charge for mounting/balancing.
Came back 2 weeks later for a custom alignment for only $60. I was happy. |
I just had 4 tires mounted & balanced at John Kenendy Mazda in Conshohocken PA, who charged $22 per wheel ($88 total + tax).
UNFORTUNATELY, the technician damaged all 4 wheels! All 4 wheels have gouges and scrapes on them. I brought it to the Mazda dealer and paid more than a typical garage because I thought they would be more careful. Not. I will be back there on Monday insisting that they replace the wheels. The car only has 2200 miles on it, and the wheels were all perfect when I brought it in. |

My speciality shop does it for $35.00 a wheel. Mounted and road force balanced. But they also do Lambo's and the such. I'm picky.

They change Lambo doors. that's good to know.
|
Sorry to steal the thread but how much should they charge me to install s tech springs and do a alignment?
i dont want to over pay and let them smile at me, i remember paying like 800 bucks for my altima to be lowered and alignment, but i felt i was ripped off 3 years ago |
Don't put spring in unless you upgrade the shocks like Tokica or Koni
350 to 400 bucks plus alignment |
PTuning charges $30 / tire, which I think is just a smidge high.
|
discount does it the cheapest i think, they road force balance everything now, i think they are the leading company, not advertising them but just letting everyone know.
they:roadforce balance everything now free tire repairs (nails and such) on oem tires, or i forgot the prices, but aftermarket low profile tires cost 15 for a 1 time fee, and then its free with them for life, i asked why exactly, and they said its a pain for low profiles, and they take extra care. true, the flop other customers rims around, and they have 2 guys load my powdercoated rims. so for balances, go for them. i dont know about alignment costs and what not. |
