Why name a car?

 

Instead of "El Ocho", which is borrowed from Dodgeball, I rip directly off of the movie and call my baby "The Ocho"!

 

I was gonna call her 'Spinner'—but then decided on 'Dr. Morris Saperstein'.

 

I don't really have a name for my car, but in my head I call her Swift.

 

If you have to ask there's no way we could ever give you an answer good enough.

Men develop a serious relationship with their cars. It's about walking into your garage on Sunday morning when the sunlight is just barely creeping through the blinds to reveal the glossy, sexy curves of your ride. And there she is. Sitting magnificently pert. Begging you to touch her. Rub your hands over the roof line. Make sure there's no dust. Check the wheels for grime. Peek inside to make sure the leather is still glossy. She's your girl. You gotta take care of her. She trusts you.

I feel my car when I drive. I hardly ever listen to the radio. That would be like... playing video games while your girlfriend is talking to you.

A car is a piece of powerful machinery. But most of all, it's yours. Be good to her and she will be good to you.

 

It is a lot easier to get my cars motor revved up than it is my wife's. My car responds to a gentle touch and a little (ok, maybe a lot) of 92 octane. My wife only responds to Neiman Marcus and a couple dozen roses. My car actualy doesn't talk back (except for when I take a road that she doesn't like. "Make a legal u-turn") my wife talks back to me before I even have a chance to get any words out of my mouth. My cars headlights are up high, my wifes,...well,...not so much any more.

Oh, yes, car name. Sorry, ADD. I call her Lucy. After all, she is a red head.

I call her PINGER! (Hard ON) cause that's what I get whenever I drive her......especially on the twisties!

 

It has not told me its name yet. So for now I call it SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because it sure is. SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She does not talk-she sings.

Pasha's Monster


I had a cat named Pasha. Her nickname was Pashamonster. She was silver and black...and tiny. She was my baby. Because of that horrible pet food recall, she suddenly passed away February 2nd. I got my car exactly two weeks later.

So...she's Pasha's Monster.

 

I call her "Spec" dono..just seemed to fit

I don't have a name, but the significant other dubbed my VR 8 "Glittery sparkle girl". Don't ask.

Assuming there isn't another Douglas Adams fan out there who's just nerdy enough

I feel you on this. I didn't realize the attachment until I had an accident with a car running a red light (and went three weeks without the car). I named her during this time. My car's name is Mya. She is a Titanium 05 GT.
