As you probably know, there is a long tradition of naming inanimate objects.
It’s actually considered “bad luck” to have a ship without a name.
I guess horses with no name are OK. Especially if you’re in the desert.

Keeping this tradition in mind, do you have a name for your car?

I call mine “Christine” (not from the movie).
My boss calls my car “Darth Vader” … reference to the curves and brilliant black color

 

"(Insert J.T.'s real name here)'s Baby"

or just "Baby" or "Babe".

It's funny when my wife answers when I'm talking to the car! The car is usually more responsive anyway.

Haha, my previous car was a red Porsche that was named Luci for the same reason.

My wife drives a Honda element we refer to as "Ely" and my RX-8 is called "Rex"

I generally refer to my Rx-8 as "the nice car" or just "car" when addressing it directly. Depending on how it's running in a couple weeks, maybe I'll give it a new name. I always fancied "Smokeshow" but I think that'll take a healthy increase in torque to justify. Till then, "car" it is.

 

My teenage daughter and all her friends call Elements "Elephants" LOL when I heard that!

I call it " CEL!!??!?!?!, F**K!!! " because that's what I say pretty much everytime I turn on my car anymore... other than that, it gets the same name as my old car...Twatter.

Actually it's illegal to have a ship without a name. They have to file the name with the Ships registry (like a car tag).

It's just flat out corny to name a car. We're adults, right?

 

I named it Allison cause all the Allisons I've known in my life were hot haha. and the 8 pretty hot. Everyone looks at it and goes what is that?

 

Ahh... a little corn now and then never hurt anyone!

-Boats
-Highways
-Space shuttles
Etc.
