RX8 club, I was stopping by introducing myself. I am a former RX-8 lurker, and a new RX-8 owner. After going to the Mazda dealership and trying to work a deal for a Mazdaspeed 3, I walked out leasing a RX-8 for less than The Speed3. I cannot complain and absouletly love the car. I live about 45 minutes outside of Chicago, and commute back and forth to St. Louis about every 2 weeks, I cannot wait for my first road trip! Anyways its great to be a member of the club!!

I'm pretty sure there's a good meet that takes place in Chicago from time to time, I'd check out that regional forum for more details.

What package did you get? Colors? Plans for any mods?

 

My RX-8 is brillant black with leather interior. I did a 2 year lease, so am not sure if I will be modding it or not. Its amazing, the dealer was marking up the Mazdaspeed 3's so much, and I feel that I got much more car, for less than I would of with the Speed3. You should of seen the look on my girlfriends face when I pulled up in the RX-8 instead of the Speed3!! I think it definetly got me booty that night!!

... except when you are driving at high speed through the middle of inland Australia, a hundred miles from anything resembling human habitation, and the oil warning indicator light comes on for no reason ....
