What if wrong gas put in?
Well leave it to the women!!!! wait, just playen. Yea, i let my mom take the car out, and she filled it up with "regular" gas... i think she put in the lowest possible!
it was at a lil above 1/4 tank and she filled it to 3/4.
I know this is not good... but is this gunna kill my car?
Im thinken im going to go fill the last 1/4 with Super+ at Moble or w/e! - - - - what should i do? or is it even that serious?

It is not going to cause a problem, the large manual that comes with the car explains that 87 octane will work, but 91 or higher is recommended for peak performance. Hope that helps.

It's nothing to panic about, unless it was REALLY bad gas.
From the owner's manual, page 4-2:
"You may use a regular unleaded fuel with Octane Rating from 87 to 90 (91 to 95 RON) but this will slightly reduce performance.
Fuel with rating lower than 87 octane (91 RON) could cause the emission control system to lose effectiveness. It could also cause engine knocking and serious engine damage"
Your RX-8 won't perform at its best, but there should be no permenant damage.

Unless you do quartermile runs, you will not notice a difference between 87 and 91 gas.
Someone here achieved a 14.5 s quartermile, turned out he had used 100 Octane gas. I guess that's where it matters, only with the clock you'll measure a _TINY_ difference.
Do you think your dealer filled it with 91 gas?
My dealership doesn't even have 91 gas ..

...some people have tested better with 87 octane gas, and a lot of the old schoolers will be using nothing but.
dont' sweat it, and save yourself a few bucks if you're just gonna cruise around.

To me, ARCO is in the same league of Rotten Robbie and other no-names. In my Firebird, I always got 15% less mpg with this gas.
Since it is only 10% cheaper, clearly a bad deal :-)

I've used 87 with no problem - have even hit the red line a number of times without any problem. I did notice an extra "kick" when I put in some '93 the other day. I'll have to see what the resline feels like now!

From my own experience, I've found I can still push the card pretty hard with 87 octane without worry (up to about 8000 RPMs), but I've never redlined it with 87, and I don't plan to. Oh, how I love the music she makes at 8000+ RPM...sounds like a turbine about to rip out of the car.
