Blinks on and off very fast
Have 06 Shinka with smart key

Edit: NM you edited your post as I was typing mine.

 

means the battery in your key is low when you turn the ignition on.
if your car is off and its blinking means the immobilizer system is activated.

 

06 Shinka with smart key
When car is off, IS icon blinks red
When I start the car with or without the key, IS goes off
Car starts and runs fine
When I kill the engine, ie stop it. icon comes back on
so the IS is activated?
So what do I do to fix it, ie get that red flashing icon to not flash
Yes I think the battery in the smart key is low
Was across the border all day ie in Mexico and kept thinking the car would get stranded there but
it ran/started fine.

Will try to find a new battery tomorrow when I go to town.
BTW what is a ETV relay and where abouts is it located?
