And if it's being used on regular streets, would it not turn off regardless when you slowed down with the brakes to make your turn, or hit the clutch to downshift (assuming a manual).
Not ragging on you, just trying to better understand the complaint.
EDIT: or do you just mean the main on/off for the cruise and not the actual cruise mode itself while it's operating? I know a lot of manufacturers put the main on/off down on the left panel with just the set/reset/up/down buttons on the wheel.
As for the RX-8, beyond the usual, obvious stuff (low torque, high fuel consumption), I'd say my only real disappointments are with the lack of a few useful gauges (like a real oil pressure gauge) and how badly thought out the dipstick location is on a vehicle that requires above-average oil checks.
