What does M/C stand for?

I was browsing JapanParts and I keep seeing that certain parts are only for RX8 before M/C. What is M/C? I can't find even a single post with the abbreviation on this entire site, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to try helping, so I tried Google, but this very thread was the first result when I typed in "M/C RX8".

Now I feel dumb because it probably really is something obvious. Thanks OP.

Don't feel bad. I think the two pic posters are just hiding their cluelessness as well.

And yes; I did make up the word 'cluelessness.'

It could be Model Change... like only for 04-08 before the new model. I don't really know but that would make sense to me lol

It normally means "master cylinder", but in this case it means "model change" (ie - 2009 +).

The only thing is, japanparts.com has separate sections for the S1 and S2 RX8, so why put something in the S2 section and then write that it's only for the S1? Pointless stupidity.

The product in question is a B-pillar applique. Are the B-pillars different between S1 and S2?

Well, I still don't think we have a sure answer. Model Change makes no sense in regards to the product in question.

I agree. It's not very likely that it means 'Model Change'.

I think it means 'Making Cheese'... at least that makes sense.

It's Minor Change. Same term is used in the Miata & RX-7 side. It's in all the Yamaguchi books.

Stands for minor / model change. Usually minor change is referred to as MMC (minor model change).

So how might this affect a B-pillar applique? What was the S2 minor change?
