It is not even a mod chip. Most of those have a 15 cents resistor in them and it can potentially damage your car.

You know that old saying about if something sounds too good to be true...

And if you think about it, if all car owners could add 50hp and better gas mileage but adding a $20 chip (or whatever the price is), dont you think there would be a HUGE market and it would be sold at every wally world and autozone on earth?

Hey guys, take it easy on the new people. With the low end on this thing everyone searches for ways to beef it up at first, then come to realize that unless you go with a turbo or supercharger there is no easy fix. Noob's you do need to search for more info before throwing out a question, as you can tell alot of people will not be very helpful to things that can be easily found by looking around.

 

we are going to super charge it, but he just bought that chip out of the blue without telling me...DOH!

A lighter wallet just might make you go a bit faster. The chip will not.

 

Even better, the car would come stock with it. Imagine how much more mazda could charge for a 300 rwhp car exactly like ours. It'd be a wise investment for mazda to spend that $20

If I may ask, why supercharger? Which company? Please choose better than this "chip".
