It is nice to see a larger car from Mazda. ( they say it will be larger)
They got rid of the 929 and mellinia a while ago. So the fact that they are producing a larger family car is (should) help out sales even more.
Kudos to Mazda

no wagon/hatch = fails.
Mazda has gone more generic with the new 6. It is no longer that ground breaking design in the mid-size sedan class as it was were when it came out. Interior is updated which I like. Apart from that the sedan does not stand out. Hopefully Mazda will bring back the wagon/hatch.

it's definitely a lot more competitive w/ accords and camrys now, which is important in this segment. i like the old car but i think the new one looks great; thoroughly modern (whether that's good or not is up to you), probably very comfortable, and the reviews i've read say it still holds a handling edge to the accord and camry. if they do a 5-door and wagon it'd be even more awesome

Looks like a Honda. Meh. No manual transmission with V6 (yes I have a 4-cyl, but that was all I could get with a stick!). Meh. No hatchback. Meh. No way in bloody hell I'd give up my 6 for it.
