Thats not a shinka interior, just the regular red/blk leather option.

Regardless looks clean, can't wait to do my spring time detail

Think I've blown an apex seal or something nasty... was giving it beans coming over a bridge and all of a sudden a load of blue smoke out the back... let down on acceleration and it drove fine at 50mph... 5 minutes later tried to accelerate in 3rd and a load of smoke and no power... got her home and she's sitting outside and I'm thinking massive bills :-(

AWWW thanks I thought it was , thats what I read but must of not read correctly thanks, and thanks again

Carbon8 05-06-2013 07:13 AM

I don't have a pic, but the Shinka red is lighter and fills the whole front of the seat, almost no black at all. I personally don't like it compared to what you (and I) have.

Chino_rx3 05-06-2013 01:36 PM

O cool thanks I will need to check it out Im going to google it, I love my interior is so nice lol

RonniEdwards 05-07-2013 09:25 AM

Took RoXy (yes i named my RX8 RoXy) out for a drive at midnight. Got on a couple long straightaways on some back roads for some redlines. First time I really got to get down on her since i fixed the cooling problem and boy she didn't let me down. after getting up to 115 in 4th gear, I wasn't sure what else this car could do anymore. The adrenaline this car can create is amazing.

Also does anyone else love the feeling of sititng at a redlight and some kid comes up in a civic or other cookie cutter car and thinks he's fast cause he has a computer chip or something, and you smile and laugh, KNOWING you've got way more class, style and power in the beast you're driving?

Prep'd X for first Long Distance Road Trip.. NJ shore to Erie,Pa.. Fluids Checked, Interior Cleaned.. Tank Full :) I've owned her now for a Year and only Put 2k miles on her lol

You are thinking of the 40th AE interior, the Shinka interior is beige Alcantera leather with maroon threading.

Last week finished filling my Motor mounts with 80A urethane this weekend drove it after the full curing process.. Nice feel with the mounts.. and the back end feels more stable with the brace combo.

pdxhak 05-07-2013 01:28 PM

Yesterday I added 1 qt of fresh oil. Drove to work and let engine stretch it legs :D:

pdxhak 05-07-2013 01:30 PM

Felix_Wankel_fan88 05-07-2013 01:32 PM

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta

This is what I run in the rears as well.
note: these tires run Big.

pdxhak 05-07-2013 01:40 PM

Thanks. Sometime this year I will be purchasing new tires. I have not heard of them and will read the reviews. How do you like them?

Jedi54 05-07-2013 01:42 PM

LOVE 'em.
Few guys here are starting to run them, pretty popular with the Bimmer crowd, seen a lot of reviews on Vettes as well.
They're more popular for high end sports cars in Europe seeing as how they're made in Holland but they're starting to gain traction here in the states. (see what I did there? ;) )

I switched to them on a recommendation from Ngo after we discovered that Toyo T1R's were no longer available in 275/30/19.

pdxhak 05-07-2013 01:55 PM

Liking the reviews :) Will read more on them later. Need to go back to sleep (summer cold).

Jedi54 05-07-2013 01:57 PM

get some rest man, hope you feel better.
And for a guy with a turbo, I expect you to burn through rear tires faster.

Razz1 05-07-2013 01:57 PM

The link say's it is a run flat tire.

Also, why would you buy a ZR when you don't race?

Z rated tires are for very high speeds.

No, it does not.
Vredestein makes a Runflat version of the ultarc sessanta but that's not the one I pruchased
That tire can be found here: http://www.vredestein.com/car-tyres/...santa-rf/info/

because I want the added grip and benefits of an ultra high performance summer tire. Besides, we're in SoCal and on rainy days like this, I'm driving my Bimmer, not the RX-8. Racing really has nothing to do with the decision. :)

pdxhak 05-07-2013 02:06 PM

In 3 years I have driven just 20k so tires tend to last a while :) Will be much less now that I ride the train to work and drive in once a week. So the next set of tires could last a really long time.

I thought you were going to show me your new turbo this week end and tell me that your car can easily do over 149 mph.
