Well guys.. I finally did it..

I sold the 8.. but in return bought a 2005 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T!! Its a great car! I will sure miss the 8 though, and will still give my thumbs up when I see one! Oh and by the way, you guys are probably wondering why I sold it.. well lets say that the wifey is pregnant and it was better for her to get in and out of a Audi then a 8. I'll still be lurking around here and posting from time to time.. see you guys around!

What kind of Audi? Is it an A4, I think that's the only one offered with the 1.8T other than the TT and that's even smaller than the 8.

Wifey pregnant?

That's WHY I bought the eight! Back seat big enough for a Britax Wizard baby seat (great baby seat, BTW)!

Easier to get baby in and out than it is in the 2003 Oddysey.

Good luck with the A4, but I woulda kept the 8.

You can tell her I said so, and why.

:-)

Yeah, I got the 8 partly because its rear doors make it easier for loading/unloading small kids.

Thanks guys.. Its kind of weird going inside my garage and instead of staring at an 8.. I'm looking at an Audi. But, once the baby is born.. I'm sure it would like to ride in a 2005/2006 RX8! :D

Wha? My wife is pregnant and somehow I convinced her it's a good family car (see honey, look how easily the baby seat will fit in there)

We have a 21-month old and expecting our 2nd one in April. When we test drove the RX-8 I showed my wife it has no problem fitting the car seat in the back. And the rear door actually makes it quite easy to get the kid in and out. My wife rarely rides in my car. The only requirement is that I have to fit 2 car seats in the back since I am the one dropping the kid(s) off daycare in the morning. We would take our small SUV when we go out as a family.
Best of luck with your A4. Maybe you can buy another RX-8 when Mazda has a FI for it :D

Congrats on the kid, sorry about losing the 8. At least now she can't ever say you didn't make sacrifices for the family.

if you don't mind could you go into the particulars of the financial aspect of this. did you own your car? if you didn't i doubt you had negative equity. how long did you have the rx-8? did you get a good amount for it? are your payments about the same for the audi? thanks. i'm just curious in case i ever trade mine in before the loan is over. :D

Man Irish8 you oughta warn us before you post something that nasty. A4 was one of the finalists before I bought my wife an 8, no Audi dealers on this island though.
