Welcome me to the club!

The new engine club that is.

Just heard back from my local dealer and they're letting me keep my Chevy Aveo for a couple of weeks while they get my 04 AT a new engine (such a shock, I know I know.)

Anyway, thought I'd let you guys know what happend to my car, I've made a few posts about the trouble I've had with it before and it always ended up with a few tests and a flash of the ecu then out the door I went. It would be fine for a day or two then start acting up. But now I'm getting a new engine so (hopefully) that should take care of the problems I was having!

Not angry at Mazda, the car, or the service department. I'm just happy to have my 8 and even more happy to know that once I get it back this time this should be the last of the visits I have to the service department with problems

Any chance I can get a mod to change my vote in the Engine Replacement Poll thread? I prematurely picked No

Check out Mazmart. They now have a kit for a second oil cooler.

I highly recomend you get this and have it installed.

Why is that? Was the engine replacement due to over heating or something?

Wow, another member of our group who hasn't heard the engine failing issue has been resolved.

Sorry to here you RX died, lets hope you don't have to go back for a 2nd or 3rd engine. Mazda seems to have a poor track record with the rebuilds done here in the states.

Yeah...My dad already told me he wants to go back up to the dealership with me so he can bitch at them and get the warranty extended because it's up in 2 months and he doesn't want it to mid January and I'm having problems again.

Not sure if they'll extend it or not but I guess it's worth a shot?

Anyone that has had their engine replaced ever gotten an extended warranty or asked for one? And if so how long?
