umm, what? I assume by that last part you're kidding around. but just in case ... i didn't have this noise in 4.5 years, 51k. I've never heard other 8's w/ that noise either...just sayin'

Gotta replace the clutch. Mazda will cover it though. Have no idea why it happened but since they're covering kinda means it's not my fault or the previous owner's fault.
