Weapon R utilizes a dual chamber piping design. There's a smaller pipe within the larger pipe on the outside that's "supposedly" move at a super fast velocity creating a tornado effect thus adding extra horsepower to our cars... well, at least that's what they advertised. I'm looking at the design for the RX-8 and it looks restrictive as hell. I doubt that you'll get any gains out of them.
Now, the Weapon R Filters are pretty good, they're on par with K&N Filters.

if you just want it to breath better just remove the baffles in the stock air intake and maybe take out one screen. look at the DIY on better flowing intake box:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-better-flowing-intake-box-similar-rb-intake-box-130332/
and probably use your money for a some other mods with greater gain.

I mean I know engines alot and more O2 is always better but if i'm spendinbg 200 plus for an intake that is not gonna do much more than removing the baffles then maybe i will just do that and save the money for a midpipe or maybe they turbo...ha after shcool is done next year of course!!! what do u guys think? lets make this a mini pole haha

However, if you have seen the light, then congrats - you just saved yourself $150 by not wasting money on that intake.

No it's not that i really want one i just figures for the prices i have found it was cheap but if i can save moneyu and get pretty much the same thing with just some "elbow grease" I"ll do that....I am just gettin some other ppl's opinions and maybe that 150 bucks can go toward gas lol or somehting else to help the 8

if you want to go cheap, just buy the piping and make your own intake. The only thing to watch for is to make sure you're getting air from outside the engine bay, and that the airflow is smooth. At idle, the temps underhood can reach close to 200F

lol man renesis se3p, stop patting yourself on the back.
To the OP, you have a very nice well built sportscar. Why the hell are you considering a POS intake when you KNOW it's a POS? Think about it.

^ yeah, stock is almost always better. If you want to drop a little cash - look into the Racing Beat Ram air intake duct. It's about $150, and bolts right in, pushing cold air directly into the oem box.
