Weapon R Engine Damper Kit

My Motor Mounts have been on back order for 6 weeks.
The vibration has been making nuts!
So, I did a Google search and found "Weapon R Engine Damper Kit"
ANyone have these? Are they mostly for show or do they have some sort of benifit?
Thanks,
Al

Interesting. I wonder if it would help with the idle vibrations.

The weapon R site has a few videos of it installed versus not installed, but it's not an RX8. They don't even list the RX8 in the model # section.

Also, this site sells it for a few bucks less.

I was looking for this last year, and it seemed like no company is making one for our car. I don't know about Weapon R's quality or reliability of their products.

I took my car in about two weeks for an oil change and i asked them to check the motor mounts. My car had some vibration at idle, and at high speeds it would shake. they said the front two motor mounts were completely gone, melted away. They replaced it right there and then.

Weird that you're still waiting for this... have you tried another dealer?

I have a late build 05 rx8 and my engine idles smoothly with very little vibration. From the sound of this thread there is a heat problem with the motor mounts? I haven't seen a tsb or recall on this, is it a common problem as the car ages?

My dealer says they are liquid filed and that they melt under the heat. They also said that the replacements were exactly like the ones that died on me...

It's anyone's guess if what they said is true though.
