Taken from the article:
I haven't heard of the air conditioning and the seat memory problems. Other than that it is all true. I had 3 bad engines.
RX-8 models for 2004 through 2006 experienced significant engine problems, according to Automotive Information Systems. Other minor problems for 2004 models include those with air conditioning, cold-start difficulties, and driver’s seat memory function (2004-2005). Editors at Edmunds.com advise consumers to avoid the 4-speed automatic transmission in 2004 models.

Ouch. That's not a fun list to make. "Editors at Edmunds.com advise consumers to avoid the 4-speed automatic transmission in 2004 models." We've been advising people of this for a while as well.
So this list is supposed to be about terrible reliability........... yet under the Pontiac Aztec they say nothing about the reliability just that its 4 cyl engine was underpowered.
Could they not find a 10th car or something?

The A/C problem could come from many of us have issues with the control **** and the A/C isn't blowing cold enough. I know the eight bpoint adjustable seats, but I've never heard of the memory seat feature. And I own the Grand Touring with everything minus the Sat-Navi.

I drove a 2004 A8-L in Germany, and didn't have any complaints! They don't mention any downsides to any models other than the said problems with the 2006. Hmm...
Edit: I do suppose that taking a $100,000 car new and finding out that it's worth $28,000 only 4 years later is a little bit of a downside.

Wait, our seats are suppose to have memory?
Seriously?
Was this suppose to be on all models or is it like a US vs CDN thing where one have the TPMS and the other had head light washers?
I'm in Canada, own a 05 MT and if it had "memory seats" it never worked from day one.
Really can someone shed any light on this please

engine died once. so far im happy with my 2nd one.
cold start issue ... well even b4 they swap my starter with the updated one my car still starts. but its an issue thats been fixed since late 05.
