4 years / 50,000 miles for the car the engine goes up to to 60,000. That amount is crazy, put the money in the bank in case something goes wrong.

04' GT at lexus

Bought 04' GT with all bells and whistles, 47K, Lexus Platinum Service agreemet (5 more years and 60K (total 107K) $50 deductable - $1950. Matches dealer 4 yr - 50K per rep. Again - betting something will / won't go wrong.

what?! damn dealership trying to rip me off... however i'm still worried about the 04 models getting quite alot of problems.

if something does go wrong, which would be more economical: getting the warranty extension or paying for the repairs myself as they happen?

*note: unfortunately the used car dealer i got it from won't sell warranty since they're not mazda dealer and will have to go to one if i decide to... (who quoted me that amount T_T)

My 05/2003 built has 107,000 and I have spent very little on it since the warranty expired. The production numbers on the 04 are so much higher than the others you will see more 04's with problems than other years.
