Unhappy Wait A Minute...

I thought that the condensation problem for the RX8's rear tail lamps was limited to the '04 cars. I visited my local dealership and found '06's and '07's with condensed tail lamps. What gives, I thought the problem with the lamps was fixed. My rear passenger lamp has shown condensation since Dec. 26th of last year. I am going to take it in, but I want a lamp that won't show that condensation. To me, the lamps are still faulty regardless of what year the RX8 is.

Its up in the air. Some say there mazda dealer replaced there lights some say the pulled that warrenty I dont know. But I do know one thing. Paying over $30K for this **** they better replace it and if you be a dick and sometimes put your foot down they will replace what they should not be trying to make money off of. Thats all I have to say about this.

The tail lights themselves are not the problem, it's the seals. The seals just came in to our dealership a couple months ago, so obviously all the 8's would be included in this.

I have not had one problem since mine were replaced. They never realy asked me any questions. They just told me that they are out of the parts and it will take 5 days to get them. They came in, they replaced it. Not one bit of moisture since.

NoTears, are the replacement ones better than the original or is it just luck?

I had the tail lights themselves replaced back in 2004 and it didnt fix squat. Now that I have the new seals, I have not had a problem since (and thanks to El Nino, they are being tested).

I have had mine replaced a couple of times (twice left and once right) so there are no updated seals My newest left one is now showing signs in the bottom right hand corner. It is so damn annoying, Glad I only paid 22k for the car.

I've gotten "fogging" at the outside corners of the lights (the part that is to the side of the car). I get this if I open the trunk when it's raining, or put something damp in the trunk. I haven't gotten anything obviously wet inside my tail lights. When the "fogging" goes away there is no obvious sign of them having fogged up. It basically just looks like when my windows themselves fog up. I'm not overly concerned with this at this point.
