Vibration.

I have one Rx-8 and just got 3,000 and did first oil change last week.

Anyway... I have a problem with my car.

Whenever I drive on highway, I can feel vibration on the wheel and seat.

I can feel the shaking on the steering wheel most of time, and little bit from

seat.

so I went to the shop to check

wheel balance. However, after checking the balance, same problem has

happened. Idling and braking is fine, no shaking or vibration.

whenever I speed up tp over 55 or 60 mile, it happens, and after 80 mile,

I feel uneasy about that. What could be the problem?

Absolutely no accidernt or ding befor, and 04 model 6 speed and have just

3,000 mile on engine.

I am going to visit the dealer this Thursday. is it covered under warranty?

I just want to know before I go to dealer wut the problme is or

anyone had this problme before, so how they fixed it. Thanks.

There might actually be a defect in one of the tires or they are still not balanced correctly. I would definantly get it checked out.

If this is a new car this problem should be covered by the factory warranty, unless the problem was caused by abuse of some sort. Since the wheel balance seems to check out, have the service people check for a bent rim or a damaged drive shaft.

Wild. I have an 05 Shinka RX-8 MT with the same issue at the same mileage (3,000). I am taking it in tomorrow to see what is up.
