Ok I have heard alot about this but I would like more opinions.

I want to install a vertical door kit on my 05 rx8. Some people say the weld on kits are best, some say bolt on. Some say 'vertical doors inc' for bolt on is the best.. but they are double the price of the 'Scissor door' kits on ebay.

1) weld on or bolt on?

2) is vertical doors inc the best?

3) anyone have first hand experience with this?

lambo doors on anything other than a lambo looks retarded and not very sensible for everyday driving. I understand M2s reason for doing it.. he shows his car and makes it easier to look inside and having the doors out the way of gawkers.

 

actually, most kits open like a normal door, THEN you can put them up for show. So theyre actually liveable. As far as looking like crap, thats a matter of opinion. Thats like me saying winning blue sucks, youd disagree im sure.

 

but thats because we all know PB (not available in my year ) > WB > all other colors

I like to call those "chav doors". They were cool about ten years ago, but now every ruddy faced 19-yo kid with a Hyundai Tiburon has them.

 

It looks odd on the 8 because now the rear suicide doors aren't lambo-stylez.

 

If somebody had a Koenigsegg door kit, I'd consider it (assuming somebody else paid for it).

 

I'm sure all the ricers at the car shows and the editors of the major ricer mags love them!

 

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! That is probably the sickest RX8 Ive ever seen and you guys are bashing it!! Ok, lets see your peoples mod list! Yup his RX8 looks awful because lambo doors are so ten years ago, thats why the 300K murcielago still has them and the kits are 1200 dollars before installation, yup theyre played out because everyone has them. Funny how everyone has something to say about the nicest cars. Mazdamaniac, as much as my opinion doesnt matter, I think your RX8 is sick, aside from the fact its not red
