Valvoline conventional, castrol edge or castrol gtx?
Hi there,
Was looking to buy some oil today, before I do. I'd like some oppinions on Castrol edge 5w-30, valvoline mineral 5w-30 or castrol gtx 5w-30.
What do you guys think?
Thanks,

On serious note, i too have used GTX in my 7 and it has done me well. I use Idemitsu in my 8 but thats just because a local shop stocks it, so...

Been using GTX for over 40 years, although I don't remember if was been called that all the way back. My dealer also uses GTX.
I think I've posted before that I wouldn't use synthetic oil. This is a nice car, it deserves the real stuff.

Motorcraft 5W20 syn. blend. Seems to do the job just fine. I think that, as long as you change your oil on time, and don't track the car frequently, we're picking nits about how "good" any particular oil is.
changed to Castrol GTX 20W-50 today. engine regained its power back.AND RUNS A LOT SMOOTHER THAN BEFORE. i use this cause i live in a hot enviorenment. 30C degrees. so if i was you defenetly CASTROL GTX
