My cars going in on monday. I have a feeling the remote is completely busted like most of you said which means id have to buy another remote then program both the remote and the emergency key.
well...I guess I just learned something new I didn't know the emergency key on the advanced keyless entry actually had a chip inside as well.

Sounds like all the dealer will need to do is reprogram the whole thing.

Mine was busted - as I mentioned earlier - and they replaced everything under warranty. Hopefully yours just need reprograming.

I've always wondered, in your situation, if the car can be push or pull-start the car as though you would with a flooded engine

Anyway, I may be late in the discussion. It's a long shot because it happened to me when I was fixing my stuck-door-striker. I'm sure you know how involved that was. D/C the battery car from the positive terminal, press the brake pedal or whatever to drain out the remaining electricity in the system. Install and see if it work

well i got it towed to the dealer. I told them the key isnt working and i only have one programmed. They said well we cant be sure its the key bla bla we would have to diagnose it etc etc (typical dealer Bulls***). Cause they said if i bought a new key and got them to program it and the car still doesnt start i dont get a refund. I thought although im 99.9 percent sure its the key thats the problem cause everything on my car is fine it runs great, why take the chance. So they went ahead and diagnosed it for a fee and yes the key stopped working and erased some code or w.e. As if the car thought i was trying to break it and it should down all the codes or w.e. SO now they said i need to get a new key BUT they need 2 keys to be able to program.. so i had to buy 2 new remotes but thank God i had 2 emergency keys already cut unprogrammed. That wouldve cost me another 200 bucks. Long story short i got my car back now with 2 programmed remotes and 2 programmed emergency keys as well. So i did it the right and best way.

Sorry for long post
