ahhh, well i guess thats why i am different. raised between here and sicily, by parents both from caltanissetta sicilia (born and bred) and raised in entirely mediterranean household.
have always had a different way of thinking just from my culture.
chivalry = win. although i too laughed my rumpppp off with the "i've been married 20 and she can open her own damn door".... that stuff is priceless
i have a kickass sense of humour tho lol, and think things like that are funny

I agree, I can laugh at that stuff (well I am a guy) but in all seriousness I might have said something like that myself to joke, but in reality actually meaning it is another story....or is it

lol when taking my date to prom and i didnt open the door for her, never even crossed my mind.. but i did buy a bottle of crown royal and see where that would take me latern, but things change now, i find todays society way to self involved then say back in the 70's or even 50's girls want equal rights they can have em, but they only want the good parts from being equal.. but i open the door whenever i get the chance especially in front of her family for brownie points...

Dating does get old

I prefer a more courtship approach from a friend perspective getting to know them instead of just dating people which is like trial / error. Perhaps try that for a more conservative old fashioned approach to get to know someone without the theme of it being a "date"?

But But... Vlaze... you dont want to be in the "Friends Zone"... You know what happens when you get put into that category.

I may try that approach thanks.

Just because you're a friend first time getting to know someone over a period of months or years doesn't mean feelings can't develop and increase over time. The only time this isn't true usually is if you date someone, doesn't work out and you stay friends to not burn the bridge.

Of course the friend approach won't work well with the women I mentioned before. You need to find someone who is mature in this approach not under the influence of today's popular belief to date a stranger and see if it hits off.

I rather get to know someone as a friend and if feelings are not mutual to be more than friends at least there was no one hurt (as bad as the other approach anyhow), no emotions involved and no bitterness.
