don't do it, not worth it. it will save your life while you are driving on the streets.

but anyway hold down your dsc button (left bottom behind your steering wheel) for 7 seconds to turn it off

That's funny. You tell him not to do it then you tell him exactly how to turn it off.

Where is Paradox Performance when you need them?

er.... please don't, turn it off only at the track or a drag (or to unstuck mud/snow), there is absolutely no reason to have it off on the street, we don't need another wreck.

5 out of 10 teens (not that you are one) who ask on this site how to turn off the traction control on their 8's end up with photos of their totaled 8 within a week. There, you've been warned. Now go press the little DSC button near your left knee.

Obviously i agree caution is a must!! but don't forget, there was a time when cars with a lot more power then the 8, and had no traction control.

that being said, if you were not a part of that era, or maybe have never driven a RWD without TC...

See no problem with what he said As others have said though, there's really no point in turning it off on streets. If you're in an empty parking lot or something it should be fine, but with the streets you just never know what you might have to suddenly dodge and the traction control could save you in a situation like that.

traction control helps save injuries / deaths. you can still die with traction control on. period. its you in control of your life, not your car (eh, sometimes n/a).

This issue is very controversial, alot of drivers like themselfs imputing instead of the traction control...it might mess the driver up, while he is trying to correct, and traction control kicks in and screwing them up even more.

I personally drive with it off..

hmmmm...i've personally never had traction control mess me up more than what i had already done. it helped me in a lot of situations. also, some insurance companies are now denying claims for repairs if TC/DSC is turned off at the time of the accident.

Yeah I had no intentions of daily driving w/o DSC. It's more for showing off in a safe area (IE an empty parking lot) then doing what my buddy did with his dad's corvette (doing a huge burn out around a corner at a party, then losing control and putting dadd'y's vette in a ditch. It's a beautiful new car. I'm not going to take chances with it.

Is there any chance if you don't have a DSC switch to add a custom one in?

knowledge is half the battle.

the battle against death.

because its related to dsc, i'll ask it here instead of making a new thread. coming down front straight to turn 1 (vir) i hit the brakes and if i get a little wobble, i try to correct it. but i feel like the car is trying to correct at the same time i am, making the matter worse. is this just my newbish driving? or should i be turning dsc off?
