turning engine off?

Alot of people will advise you to do it in the winter.
Really the only time you should do it is if you start the car when it's cold move it and then shut it off.

Absolutely not!
Only if you have to shut her down before the engine's had a chance to warm up. Like first thing in the morning, if you start the car, move it ten feet, and turn it off. Otherwise, as far as turning it off, it's just like an ordinary engine.

According to the owner's manual, if you have to move the car a short distance and are not going to drive it, you should let it idle until the temperature gauge comes up to normal, then rev it to 3K before shutting it off.

Only do the 10 second rev trick if you move your car and shut it off cold. I personally never shut my car off cold so no, I never rev my engine before shutting it off.
