CA turn on fogs only?

in some of the photos i have seen in the Multimedia section i see some RX-8s with fogs on only..... just wondering how exactly do you do that?

maybe its just me or maybe a DIY but i have tried all (or at least i think i have) the combinations but i cant seem to figure it out.

anyone want to help shed some light into this?

The simpliest way of doing, I do it occasionally with my z this way and it baffles owners, is you simply unplug whatever you dont want to come on. Unplug the headlights sockets and there you go, turn the headlight switch on and you have only fogs on. You can rewire and all that but I just unplug the headlights, its not hard to do, just wrap some tape around them so you dont get moisture or anything in the sockets. I just threw some brighter bulbs in my fogs and use them as driving lights at night on the Z.

ok, never mind then, i thought it was just an option. it seems like that DIY seems a bit difficult, especially with no experience with wiring lights at all

well it seems like a good idea, but for me its kind of impractical because i like my headlights so i dont want to be having to plug in my headlights every time i want to use them. but i see where your going at

It's not a hard mod, just make sure you are working with the right wires.

Yeah sorry I go the ghetto route, I dont need the headlights since its a weekend car and honestly my bulbs are bright enough for use at night. I just didn't want to tamper with the wiring on my car so I did it the lazy way.

haha, nothing wrong with my route, I just did mine for photography reasons and rarely take that car out at night anyways.
