Exclamation TurboXS or Mazdaspeed Exhaust

I'm thinking of buying either a Turboxs w/ xs racepipe or Mazdaspeed catback with a RB midpipe. Both systems will cost about the same. I am conflicted, any opinions before I take the plunge! Thanks in advanced.

Turbo XS = loud
MS cat back with RB mid pipe = meh just over stock. Kinda like my obx cat back with RB mid pipe set I had.

Mazdaspeed is 3' in right? I like the sound just over stock. Can I put a dual resonated midpipe on the Turbo XS?

mazdaspeed is 2.5"

and its $620 just for the catback. add $200 for the rb midpipe its well over $800.

the turboxs is $500+shipping. how do they cost the same?

you can put another resonator on the turboxs pipe. there is room.

I found one used. 2.5? Argh! Maybe I'll go back to Racingbeat.

Mazdaspeed is 2.75" not 2.5". Stock is 2.5".
Call Rosenthal Mazda, Phil's favorite dealer. I bought my Mazdaspeed catback from them for $495.00 shipped. Why do you want a dual resonated midpipe? Looking for extra weight?

I had the same dilema as you (except I was stuck between MS and Racing Beat). I went with the RB because it is a 3inch.

It is not very loud at all and is a lot deeper than stock. I am very happy that I went with the RB. With your mid pipe it would probably sound perfect. G/L

I have the MS exhaust. I can definitely say that the piping is a little bit bigger than stock. So the 2.75" size sounds more like it. It is definitely quiet and I love not having the attention of the police......especially here in Cali.

Get the MS exhaust if you're in for a more grown up sound.

Thanks for the advice Eric, sorry to hear about your 8. If I talk to Phil he'll put me back into a Racing Beat for sure, which is what I'm leaning towards now since it is 3' inches.
