I have a 2004 rx-8 with 96k on the body. It is totalled, the front end is damaged and the winshield shattered. The airbags also deployed. I have papers proving that the engine has only 6000 miles on it along with the clutch. Everything from the Doors back is usable and the transmission is untouched. I know that the 6 speed is worth around 1400 by itself but if I was to sell the whole car what would be a good asking price? I also have the title if that helps. Let me know. You'd have better luck making money on a complete part out, you might get $3-4K for the car.

Totaled rx8s go for 2-3k at insurance auctions normally.

Whoever parts it out and scraps the shell, will make 3-5k all told, but of course they have time, labor, tools, equipment, part storage and ability to haul a vehicle that are necessary to make that 3-5k.

I am located in Farmington CT. I have a shop and everything but I just don't have the time to part it out. And I know, it's sad but I gotta get rid of it!

 

IF you were in the southeast I might have made you an offer for it. It would have to be dirty cheap for me to travel that far to get it though.
