Front bumper, 500 something. Rear, another 500 something, tail light, about 400 each. Trunk, another 500. the sub frame $$$$ front fender another 400, the fender cover 80, rear lower control arm, couple hundred. etc etc.

Its time to think what do you want to do with the check coming from the insurance company.

Most likely your insurance will give you an estimate of your car's value within a day. then they will ask if this amount is ok for you, like NYer said, they know they will get it back from HER insurance anyway. if you're happy with the amount, take it. and go buy yourself another car.

Oh also, you have 72 hours to report injuries.

Have to say that picture of the LF tire is puzzling. Looks like it came apart and the tread on it bailed ship in the wreck. Almost to a questioning the quality of a tire doing that.

You know that was my first thought but then the idea why the hell would someone have a tire cover on a wrecked car, let alone for a DD period came up. I guess outside of a track car for tire performance conservation I wouldn't find it of much use.

Bambam, Let me know what the buyback is. From that kind of damage that would make an awesome track car as long as the frame can be straightened and pulled out. Slap some cheap front pieces on it, go cheap aftermarket rear end pieces. Don't care what it looks like on the track.

If the buyback is reasonable I might be interested in taking it off your hands.

i was still paying off my mazda rx 8, had like 10 grand left in paying it off,
so now that my car is totaled, what happens with the 10 grand thats left over?
is the person that hit me going to have to pay for that?am i still going to receive
the money for the total loss or is my bank going to take it?

Nahhh ur insurance company will pay that off then they will fight the people you got in an accident with and their insurance company. You don't have to worry about the battle for your money..you get it instantly (I know from experience).
