Tokico D-Specs (traced my thunk/bang to RT rear shock)

With 60,000 miles I suppose the factory stock Tokico shocks have earned thier money. I was getting a single solid hammer at the right back seat. It only happens when accelerating hard from a stop, and the street is uneven causing the rear to jounce. Inspecting from the undercarriage I saw the shock leaned against the shock tower and it has oil running from the top.
I re-read all the shock info here and decided on Tokico D-Spec DSP-14 shock kit w/o new springs. Got them with Tokico rear shock extention adjuster TO-00-100 for $592
If the Koni shocks had still been on sale I would have gone for them @ $200 less. Now I just need to wear out these cheap-o tires!

Been running D-specs for a few months now (On S-tech springs), Love them. I also got the extenders for the back.
Sadly, I never adjusted them since I put them on, it felt so much better than my blown shocks I felt no need too. I believe fronts are set to 4, and rear set to 4.5 or 5. Slight clunk from the passenger rear going over speed bumps but I think its my 4 shot to **** endlinks

Other "clunk" posts indicate to hold your brakes on a little when going over bumps - if it still makes noise it wasn't brakes. Man I read alot of noise threads!

I sure hope I've found my bang noise - I still wanted new shocks, so it's a good excuse.

And, if you will share, what did DS + springs set you back?

One guy had a bad caliper slider. There is another upgraded one to use/////IDK much else.

Checked your youtube link, and noticed a chirp at startup. Is it like that still?

I use to have it all the time. After changing the starter and ignition(BHR kit) the noise has gone away except for once in a blue moon. Couldn't even tell ya the last time I heard it.
