Time is running out.

If you have an 04 RX8 you should start checking your vin numbers vs your warranty. If its anything like mine which was purchased in Aug then your warranty could be running out in 4 months. If you own an 04 and weren't the original buyer I recommend you call Mazda run the VIN and find out when your engine warranty runs out. One of my old neighbors found out he has until the end of August then he is on his own.

Time has run out for me. My car is a 03 build. I have already torn the engine down though. Mazda wouldn't even consider my car for a trade in with the mods I have done.
If you have good compression you should not be worried. If it pops, replace it with a quality built engine.
Good advise for those suffering from the "dying engine blues" though.

I just wanted to get a heads up out there because he called me last night. He said he thought he had until 2012 but when he was at the shop the service writer gave him a "heads up". He was just in getting tires put on.

If there is a couple months left get a compression test for sure!
