Even if a Rew swap is tempting, i believe for me it may present a problem legal wise since its not a legal swap.

Even if my car ownership papers only state 1308cc and 13B as engine code, unless i can somehow make the swap and keep oem ecu and pass all emission Inspections..

Yeah im talking about 13b-msp. Even 280who id be happy :D

I'm doing around 6000miles per year as a daily commute so a rebuild every 50-60k miles is ok for me

Carlos Lopez to the rescue. He's developing a kit to use a 13B-REW core with RENESIS front cover, OMP, and throttle body, thus retaining the RX-8 ECU, A/C, electric steering, etc. Save your pennies, I don't think it will be cheap.

As long as you know what you are getting into then go for it. Just make sure you plan properly and don't skimp when it comes to tuning. IMO, 90% of the failed Renesis turbo builds are due to **** poor implementation coupled with unreal expectations.

No need for a kit unless you want a one stop shop,

All the info is here to to build a REW swap, you just gotta look.

Just checking, but do you understand what CLR is doing?
Many RX-8 systems stop working with a straight swap.

Yep.. I understand. There are other ways to complete the swap without doing what CLR has done.

Oh really, everything works on my car

I can see the "No sunroof" part for maximum weight savings, but you do know that all of those systems can be disabled with the press of the button from inside the cabin? Personally, I find having traction control very useful for rainy days when, you know, you lose a bit of traction. If I want TCS/DSC and ABS off, I just press the button for 8 seconds and pull the ABS fuse. Done and done.
