Thinking of buying an 05/06 RX8 - some advice please
Hi joined the forum to ask some advice from people who live with RX8's
I had an Alfa GT which I sold when the second child arrived in quick succession, as they are now 3 and 4 and can get in and out of cars themselves and no longer require carrying prams etc. I'm thinking about buying another 'interesting' car. RX8 has 4 doors so I might be able to talk my glorious leader into it.
Question is what would people recommend, from trawling through the internet the 06 model 231? seems to be a good bet as doesn't have teh flooding issue when started/stopped but I've seen milage from 15MPG to 30MPG claimed. Also claims that engine can be dead at 60K miles.
So Guys whats the truth and what would you recommend?
Note having owned several Alfa's I am used to cars with their own 'unique' personalities.

My advice would be that you read more so you become more familiar with the car before you decide to purchase.
I do not know if you have seen this but it is a helpful thread that will answer most of your questions: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=sticky+owners
Good luck!

Thanks for the point to the thread, wading my way through it and some really good information, must remember to up the MPG values by 25% as our gallons are bigger and unfortunately a damn site dearer than $3.

The UK is a terrible market for '8s.
Since it's not a star at the traffic lights, needs a nimble clutch-foot on hills, and sucks gas on the highway, the joys of twisties and the chuckability would have to be it's selling points.
At least you have the drastic depreciation on your side.....
