okay so basically ive had some bad experiences withs car, and im only 16 so it sucks. But basically i have a job and work 8 hours a day and a year ago i was rx8 hunting and found a yellow 2004 6spd for 14k, it was amazing but it had big ugly 18 inch chrome rims? and it always felt like it was gonna kick out in 1st gear, so i brought it to the kia dealership (where i bought it used) and that was my mistake, they told me rotary engines needed more attention then others (which i knew) and that i had to "warm" it up everytime i drove it for about 2 minutes, just let it run?, and my engine light would go off. About a month of doing that, it sounded stupid and it didnt work. So finally i took it to the mazda dealership to see the real issue and they said my strut bar was broken in two, and they were gonna replace my plugs, wires, and cords(which i told kia to do but they said that wasnt the case) $1200 later the car rode like a dream. I loved it, but back then i was only 15 and working 3 days a week. so i brought it back to kia telling them i couldnt afford it anymore and told them about the repairs and such. So they said theyll take my rx8 back IF i bought a new car from them....i was highly upset since it was a kia dealer. So under my will i found what i thought was the sickest kia on the lot, a kia forte koup. That was back in august. Since then ive put 1000 dollars worth of mods in it, i realized the payments were almost twice as much as my rx8? and they said they wont take it back because of the mods.

So now that you heard my story i have a couple things i want you guys to answer.

-how much hp does a 6spd have? i saw 240(ish)? is this true?
-is there any cheap clean looking body kits for an rx8? i got so much sh*t back when i had it "dude thats a chick car" and i know i shouldnt care what people say but after hearing it everyday it was annoying, i was a member of rx8club back when i had it and always looked at bodykits, so like i said, is there any cheap body kit i could get if i got another rx8 so people could shut up? haha, i love the mazdaspeed but its too expensive for me.
-Should i try to get an rx8 again? im sure i can find someone to trade me and pick up the payments.
-Im debating between an rx8, wrx, 350z, and g35.

rx8= best looking in my opinion but if the 6spd is really 240(ish)hp then id get that
wrx= fastest but ugliest
350z= good looking but 2 seats
g35= good looking but too luxury looking

so thanks guys if you could lean me back to the rotary side!

Cheap mods = problems. Sorry but its true. If you can't afford to do something properly, just don't do it.

RX8= 232 bhp (that's at the flywheel). At the wheels for an '04 M/T, you're looking at anywhere from 170-180whp without a tune.
Body kits = you get what you pay for...

Edit: Damn they all beat me to it! As for the "chick car", they call it that cause it's what the chicks dig. I see nothing wrong with that

The RX-8 is a great car. I absolutely love mine... If I was you, I would just sit down and think hard about the pros and cons and exactly what you are looking for in the next car you buy.... Plus with everything you have been having to do already, don't throw yourself into too many more situations that will leave you stuck paying a lot of money for years to come when you are 16...

Also, if you are asking us to lean you back to the rotary side... I think you are probably already on the rotary side haha.

Hey, i am new to this forum and i am new to rx8's. I am looking to buy one in the very near future so i can relate to your questions, but i am also 6 years older and prolly have a little more knowledge on rotary systems and can afford one comfortably. By you being 16 man, you should save your money and get something a little more in your price range perhaps you could get a decent condition turbo 2 rx7 and take the money you make and build it up a bit. With that option you can familiarize yourself with rotary systems and get some wrench time under your belt (if you like car work as a hobby). You could also get an older miata(despite all the GAY comments you WILL receive lol), it is a great car to get used to rear wheel drive behavior in(not a lot of power, but well balanced) and they can handle pretty much any style of driving. The civic is very common and the most affordable project car a 16 year old could handle, but you cant really experience great driving in them in my opinion. Try to find someone to take over your kia payments and get a lil cash saved up, buy something affordable so you are not working so hard for the car that you cant even enjoy owning it, and then buy something you can learn to drive and work on with out killing yourself (literally and figuratively). You already know the rx8 is legit, but in due time man. Good luck

If it's between the choices you gave, I'd say go for the WRX. It's reliable and safe and pretty cheap to maintain considering what it is.

no offense but an RX8 isnt really a 16 year olds car to be harshfully honest. You need to get a car that you will have no problem if you total it or at least wreck it.
because being 16 you have about a 90% chance of getting in some kind of accident within the next 4 years.
N when u total your other cheaper car ul be glad you didnt get one. Once you wreck it youll hopefully be a better driver.
Also another reason the insurance rates for the rx8 just went up

So go with something that is more of a cheaper car like a tiburon, celica, forte koupe or even civic.
