Tach Display Question
I have seen a few pics online, most recently on roadandtrack.com's long term review (http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....ber=2&preview= ) that shows the Tach in RX8 partially blue and partially black...it looks kinda cool as if it changes as the rpms move, but I havent seen this happen on my 8. Is this just some photoshop trick or am I missing something????

I've rolled it down to get the "night" display so I dont get the bright white..but I dont see it get the intense blue..just a black background. The blue is barely noticable, but not as intense as the picure shows. Is it suppose to be as bright as it shows in the pic..if so, what am I not doing? When I adjust the dash dimmer switch, i just rolled it til past the click (where it goes from White to black), but like I said, i get the dark background, but thats it.

it just gets dark at night when you put one click for the signal lights or double click for the headlights on
to make sure this works simply make sure the light dial (located next to the dsc button on the left of th steering column in the dummy switch area) is not all the way clicked just right before the click
plus if you have nav this will actually dim the screen and change to a negative image too

Yeh..I get the negative image on the Nav. I just went out and looked at it. Basically, when I turn the headlights on and nav switches to negative image, the tach looks more black than blue. I can see the blue lights that give it a blue look, but i would say the tach looks about 95 percent black with just a touch of blue tint..nothing at all like the picure shows. Should it be as intense as the picure shows it in the link above or is it just a light tint on a predominately black background??? thanks

the blue tint is right when you get in the car at night...before startup...then you startup it goes to bright then you turnon headlight/signal lightand it goes to red/black with hint of blue
